More About Our Collision & Paint Services
Fixing Accident Damage
A correctly done collision repair brings a damaged vehicle to the same specifications in look and safety as it had when it was originally built. An accident will distort the shape of a car, so we start the collision repair process by taking the vehicle apart and getting its chassis back to original specifications. We then replace or repair any part that is damaged, using high quality parts that will fit and perform as they should because our foremost concern is your safety.
No matter the damage to your vehicle, we provide full auto body repair for foreign and domestic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. We will get your ride fully repaired and looking like new.
Auto Body Paint & Preparation
The paint on your vehicle is what prevents it from deteriorating and rusting, and the paint process itself is a multi-step procedure. Many layers of paint have to be applied to make it last a long time, and look just like new. There are also many types of paints and many ways to apply them. We use PPG Global Finish paint to ensure a long lasting factory-type finish.
Some people think that when you purchase a new panel for a vehicle, it comes pre-painted or ready to be painted. Unfortunately, that generally isn’t the case. Many new panels have to be straightened and gaps have to be filled, which can be a time consuming process. But it’s very necessary to get a beautiful looking vehicle.
Here’s a little bit more about the paint layers we apply to the vehicles we repair and restore:
- The primer is the coating layer that protects the vehicle from corrosion and smooths out any irregularities on the surface of the car or truck.
- Basecoat is the coating layer that gives color and an aesthetic look. Our base-coatings won’t fade for many, many years, keeping the color of your vehicle looking just like new.
- The clear coat is the top coating layer that protects all other layers from the elements. Day after day it withstands acids, sunlight, rain, and every beating your vehicle takes from normal wear and tear. It also gives your car or truck the shine of a new vehicle.
Working with—Not For—Insurance Companies
As an independent auto body shop, we work for the customer rather than the insurance company. We’ll perform the repairs that are best for you and your vehicle—not the insurance company’s bottom line. That’s not to say we won’t work with your insurance company. We definitely will. We have strong relationships with many adjusters and agents in the area, and we’ll make sure you’re getting the best repair possible under your policy.
